This cluster contains images of what I conceived as significant human actors in the camp (such as Dorthe Dahl-Jensen), as well as, significant non-human actors (such as the ice core drill and a grinded step cutter). The anthropology of science takes the radical view that defining the means of an actor is to define its performance. In this sense, the performance of a step cutter can define the entire morale of the camp, something I learned at NEEM. Read more about the photo series A Cold Northern Light here.- No Comments
